Ear cleanser. Otological solution.
Intended for dogs and cats. For veterinary use.
OTOCLEAN contains keratolytic, ceruminolytic, emollient, sanitizing, and moisturizing ingredients that give the product excellent qualities for the hygiene and care of the external ear canal of dogs and cats, keeping it clean and free from accumulations of dirt, earwax, or secretions.
Components
Salicylic acid, Cucumis sativus extract, Cetraria islandica extract, Mimosa tenuiflora extract, 90% lactic acid, transcutol (diethylene glycol monoethyl ether), propylene glycol, macrogol 400, glycerol, oleic acid, water q.s. to 1 ml.
Directions for use
- Open the vial by twisting the plastic cap.
- Lift the ear by its upper margin and direct the contents of the vial toward the inside of the ear canal, squeezing the vial firmly to instill half or all of the contents, as needed.
- Massage the base of the ear for a few seconds to promote contact of the cleansing solution with the ear.
Apply OTOCLEAN into each ear canal of the dog or cat in a sufficient quantity based on the size of the animal.
- For large animals, apply one vial (5 ml) into each ear.
- For small or medium animals, the contents of one vial can be divided between both ears.
Leave OTOCLEAN to act without applying other substances into the ear for at least 30 minutes.
Indications for use: In breeds predisposed to otitis due to the anatomy of the ear pinna (cocker spaniels, setters, poodles, etc.), it is advisable to apply OTOCLEAN periodically.
A routine weekly application is recommended to maintain the external ear canal in optimal condition.
- In animals with large accumulations of dirt or earwax, an unpleasant odor is usually noticeable coming from the ears. In these cases, apply OTOCLEAN into each ear canal every 24 hours for 8 consecutive days, then space out the applications (every 2-3 days) based on the observed response, until complete hygiene of the ear canals is achieved.
- In animals with otitis, to improve the effectiveness of antibacterial or therapeutic products to be applied, it is advisable to clean the ear canal by removing the accumulation of dirt, earwax, or secretions. Similarly, 30 minutes before applying a therapeutic ear solution, it is advisable to clean both ears with OTOCLEAN.
