Anthelmintic for use in puppies and young dogs.
For the treatment of infestations caused by the following nematodes.
Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina; hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum; whipworms: Trichuris vulpis.
Instructions for use
Due to the early onset of ascarid infestations (intrauterine and galactogenic infestation), treatment should begin at approximately 2 weeks of age. It is advisable to repeat the treatment at 14-day intervals.
Dosage
15 mg of Febantel and 14.4 mg of Pyrantel embonate per kg of body weight, corresponding to 1 ml of suspension per 1 kg of body weight orally.
The suspension can be administered directly with the enclosed syringe dispenser or indirectly by mixing it with food.
No dietary measures are necessary.
Shake before use.
Duration of use: the application is a single dose for each deworming.
Storage
Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 12 weeks.
Warnings
Treatment should be based on the results of a parasitological examination of feces.
Resistance of parasites to any particular class of anthelmintics can develop after frequent and repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class.
- Special precautions for the person administering the product to animals: none.
- Overdose: an overdose equal to 5 times the therapeutic dose was tolerated by puppies and young dogs without symptoms. For a 10-fold overdose, vomiting should be expected as the only symptom.
- Incompatibilities: in the absence of compatibility studies, do not mix with other veterinary medicinal products.
