What are Chicco Thermogel Hot/Cold Pads

Chicco Thermogel Pads are breast pads that provide valuable support during the delicate period of breastfeeding. Safe and easy to use, they provide immediate relief in case of breast engorgement, breast tension, or before breastfeeding to encourage milk flow, promoting a peaceful nursing experience.

Used cold, they reduce inflammation and alleviate pain. Used as a warm treatment, they allow milk to flow more freely, helping to resolve issues of engorgement or milk stasis and making breastfeeding easier. Discreet, soft, and effective, the pads are easily placed in a nursing bra.
When breastfeeding, it is possible for problems to arise that could cause some discomfort to the mother.

How to use Chicco Thermogel Pads

There are 2 ways to prepare the Thermogel Pads for use.
1. For an effective cooling effect to alleviate breast pain when swelling is present, place the pads (one or both, depending on needs) in the fridge and leave them at +4°C.
- They can be left in the fridge continuously so they are always ready for use.
- Remove the pads from the fridge and dry them with a cloth or paper towel.
- Insert them into the provided cotton covers and place them inside the bra cups for 10/20 minutes or as needed.
It is advisable to position the wider part of the pad over the most painful area of the breast.
2. As a gentle warm treatment to facilitate milk flow.
- Remove the pads from the packaging and heat them in a microwave by placing them in a bowl of water at max 300 watts for 5 minutes.
- Remove the pads from the water and dry with a cloth or paper towel.
- Use the pads when they are slightly warmer than body temperature.
- Insert the pads into the provided cotton covers.
It is recommended to position the wider part of the pad over the most painful area of the breast and wear for 10-15 minutes for a gentle warming effect.
Used with a cover dampened with warm water, it provides greater relief and encourages milk production.
WARM:
ò In the microwave: at max 300 watts for 5 minutes in a bowl of water.
COLD:
ò In the fridge: +4 °C (no maximum time limit).

Always store the pads and covers in their packaging or in a clean, dry place at room temperature (max 40 °C), away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
