ANTISEPTIC DRESSING
Indications:
is particularly indicated for infected wounds, for colonized lesions at risk of infection.
Characteristics:
non-adherent dressing based on broad-spectrum bactericidal povidone-iodine. It is composed of a rayon-viscose filament mesh soaked in a 10% povidone-iodine solution. The porous mesh of the dressing allows for the drainage of exudates and the transpiration of the wound, preventing maceration. The amount of povidone-iodine present in the dressing is sufficient to reduce the bacterial load, but is not irritating to the wound site.
